Ford Introduces Bacon-Wrapped Fiesta

Bacon has been around since ancient Rome and has been a breakfast staple ever since. It’s now gotten to the point in recent years where people (Americans especially) are craving it so much it has become beyond just a breakfast food. It’s hard to find things that people won’t eat with bacon. International Bacon Day is August 31st and Ford is celebrating by introducing the first ever bacon-wrapped car. This combines two of America’s favorite things, Ford and bacon.

The special pork-laced car is a green 2014 Ford Fiesta. Ford announced that fans can have this custom design and other bacon graphics installed on their new 2014 Fiesta. In addition to the wrap around design, also available with racing stripes that are on the hood, and a side of bacon with strips that wrap over the rear wheel. The new Fiesta, a car known for being fun and festive, has already made its way to Friendly Ford, located in Roselle, IL.

“In the 40 years I’ve been in this business, I’ve never seen so much interest in bacon,” said Allan Benton, CEO of Benton’s Country Hams. “It’s being used in bourbon, chocolate, ground beef, caramel corn and whatever else you can think of. This car just makes so much sense.”
