Unveiling Ford at the 2018 Detroit Auto Show

It was a great year for Ford at the 2018 Detroit Auto Show

Another Detroit Auto Show (also known as the North American International Auto Show) has come and gone. It was a big year for Ford, whose luxury arm Lincoln received the North American Truck of the Year Award for its Navigator SUV. But more importantly for Ford fans, Ford unveiled a number of new high-performance models.

Ford at the 2018 Detroit Auto Show

  • 2019 Ford Ranger: Ford unveiled the new 2019 Ford Ranger at the auto show in January. The new Ranger mid-size truck is built with high-strength steel, is powered by a 2.3-liter EcoBoost® engine, and boasts a class-exclusive 10-speed automatic gearbox. The Ranger will compete directly with the Chevy Colorado and GMC Canyon.
  • 2020 Ford Mustang Shelby® GT500®: In 2019, Ford will unleash its most powerful street-legal production car ever. The new Mustang Shelby GT500 will be more than twice as powerful as the original 1967 Mustang.
  • 2019 Ford Mustang Bullitt: The Shelby GT500 wasn’t the only Mustang on display in Detroit. It shared the stage with the 2019 Mustang Bullitt, which is powered by a 5.0-liter V8 engine that will achieve at least 475 horsepower and 420 lb-ft of torque with a top speed of 163 miles per hour.
