2015 Ford Mustang
The all-new 2015 Ford Mustang GT has earned itself a spot on Car and Driver’s 10Best list. This is the ninth time the Mustang has earned this honor in the list’s 33-year history and has been included on the list for four of the last five years.
The 10Best list names the best new cars in the United States for under $80,000, regardless of class or capabilities.
“It’s a huge honor to have the Mustang GT recognized on Car and Driver’s 10Best list,” said Dave Pericak, Mustang chief engineer, in a statement. “The substantial amount of time and effort our engineering team put into Mustang has paid off; we’re hopeful that the car has a substantial presence on the 10Best list for years to come.”
Car and Driver loved the Mustang’s fun-to-drive nature and commented that when going through a series of turns, the Mustang makes you feel like “you’re wearing wheels.”
Come see for yourself what makes the 2015 Ford Mustang GT one of the best and most fun cars of the year. It is available now at Friendly Ford.
2015 Ford Mustang
As the Ford Mustang turns 50 in 2015, Ford is creating a program called ICON50 to commemorate and celebrate this milestone. Arguably the finest-looking and best-engineered American sports car from then until now, Ford is right to cast the Mustang as an American icon. According to Forbes, the ICON50 program sees “Ford uniting with experts” in various cultural fields “to identify what is happening now and what is coming next.”
For ICON50, Ford hooked up with Hard Rock Hotel & Casinos. Together, they were able to identify ten musical artists that are “pushing the boundaries of what’s being done in music today.” This list includes such acts as Cathedrals, Young Rising Sons, and Betty Who.
A few of these acts were tapped to perform in the CMJ Music Marathon, a five-day music festival held in New York City. Forbes tells us that “there are set to be follow-up performances over the next few months that will be promoted by the two companies.”

At the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show in Las Vegas, we often see incredible concept vehicles decked out with the coolest accessories consumers are likely to never have. While we are inspired by the creativity of the auto tuners and their custom vehicles, it’s nice to see a vehicle every now and then that we could actually own. Such is the case with Ford’s King Cobra 2015 Mustang GT, built using Ford Racing performance parts.
“At Ford Racing, we like to push cars to their absolute limit,” said Ford Racing director, Jamie Allison. “We wanted Mustang enthusiasts to be able to open up the Ford Racing parts catalog and get one of everything and see what they could get. We think the King Cobra package is it. But none of this great work would be possible if Team Mustang had not built the best production Mustang yet.”
The Mustang King Cobra package includes a “Drag Pack,” “Handling Pack,” and “Super Pack.” Together, they offer high-powered performance reserved, not for the auto experts with models on display at the SEMA Show, but for race-loving, Mustang fans everywhere.

Ford plans to put $5 billion or more into Lincoln vehicles and their designs. Within five years, a Ford investment in luxury segment Lincoln vehicles will replace or revitalize every single one to guarantee improvement and future success. The Lincoln overhaul is necessary to give the brand some traction in the luxury segment and the ability to compete with rivals fairly.
USA Today said, “The investment will include developing a big, new vehicle platform unique to Lincoln, meant to give the brand a chance to challenge the top BMW and Mercedes-Benz models.” Having a luxury lineup that is new and exciting will no doubt make the company more profitable, but it cannot be achieved without a large sum of money or a huge time investment. Luckily, Ford is willing to put in both to make a respectable luxury brand.
Lincoln will use the new D6 design, which will be the base for a new line of vehicles in 2019. The D6 will give Lincoln a distinctive look from Ford, making it sophisticated like other luxury brands on the market. Before the D6 launches, the brand will first give its current models updates.
