The exterior designer of the F-150, Brad Richards, said that Ford wants every model to have better aerodynamics than its predecessor. However, streamlining was especially important for the 2015 F-150. “The aerodynamics were much more at the forefront on this launch,” says Richards. “It was a huge challenge as a designer to try to make the trucks tougher-looking, but more efficient.”
Richards was surprised while designing to find that the lines he had feared would need sculpting ended up making the truck more efficient. In fact, things customers look for in trucks like the crisp corners and wider tailgate panels would actually help to make a big difference in fuel efficiency.
The aluminum-bodied truck took two years to design, and customers will be happy to see that the tuck still looks tough and the aerodynamic details make the F-150 look more modern.
The 2015 F-150 spent more time in wind tunnels than any other Ford truck, and For expects it to get 30 mph highway. Check out the new F-150 at Friendly Ford now!
Millennials are growing up. Gen Y (people born anytime from the early 80s through the early 2000s) are turning in their compact cars that got them through college and their first jobs, and upgrading to something bigger.

Crossovers and SUVs are taking over this generation’s top car choice, and it makes sense. Sports, active lifestyles, adding pets, and even starting families make a roomier car an ideal choice. Millennials are looking for cars they can see themselves growing into the next phase of their lives in. An SUV is great for throwing their bikes in now, and loading their babies in later.
The older Millennials are about 32, and that means they are more often holding down stable jobs with higher incomes than the generation behind them. Purchasing a new SUV or crossover is not such a far reach for people falling into this category.
A study conducted by Maritz Research surveyed 122,000 participants and found that cars remain top choices for Millennials overall, but the percentage considering a small car has fallen from 13.2 percent in 2008 to 9.7 percent.
According to the data compiled by Maritz Research, Ford has climbed to the top of the list in sales consideration among millennials – meaning that regardless of whether or not Millennials actually have the means to buy a Ford, the automaker is their top choice over any other brand.

“The trend of millennials starting families comes at the same time Ford is updating or replacing nearly its entire product lineup,” said Amy Marentic, Ford global car and crossover marketing manager. “These fastest-growing segments – like small utilities – coincide with Ford’s product strengths.”
Friendly Ford has an entire lineup of best-selling crossovers and SUVs. The Escape, Explorer, and Edge are ideal cars for an active lifestyle.
In the moderate overlap front, side, head restraints and seats, and roof strength tests, the C-MAX Hybrid received the highest possible score of “Good,” highlighting its ability to protect passengers in nearly all conventional crash scenarios.
In the more difficult small overlap front crash test, which the IIHS deems the toughest front-side test performed by either itself or the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the C-MAX Hybrid earned the second-highest possible score of “Acceptable.”
It also comes with a plethora of standard equipment, including MyKey, AdvanceTrac with Roll Stability Control, driver and passenger airbags, front seat-mounted side-impact airbags, a safety canopy system, SOS Post Crash Alert System, and a tire pressure monitoring system.

When buying a new car, it’s not unreasonable to expect a warranty and certain period of free maintenance to coma along with it. Ford is raising the bar and beginning July 1, customers who purchase Motorcraft brake pads for their Ford, Lincoln, or Mercury will receive free brake pad replacements for as long as they own the vehicle.
The Lifetime guarantee is honored at all Ford and Lincoln dealers and at Quick Lane Tire & Auto Centers. To take advantage of the program, your car should have been built in the 90s or later, and you must return to the same dealer each time for the free parts.
“This program reflects our commitment to providing customers with an excellent ownership experience regardless of the age of their vehicle,” said Frederiek Toney, vice president, Ford Motor Company and president, Ford Customer Service.
“When you purchase Motorcraft parts at a Ford or Lincoln dealer, or a Quick Lane Tire & Auto Center, you know you’re getting the right parts installed by the right people,” Toney added. “Motorcraft parts are the officially recommended parts for Ford, Lincoln and Mercury vehicles, and these technicians are factory-trained and certified to service our products.”
According to autoblog.com, there are a few stipulations to the Lifetime Brake Pad Guarantee. The brake pads must be worn down to less than three millimeters, and the customer will still be held responsible for labor and installation in addition to “other parts needed to return the brake system to original operating condition.”
