The first 2015 Ford Mustang will be up for auction at the Barrett-Jackson Auction on January 18th in Scottsdale, Arizona. The first retail 2015 Ford Mustang will be a GT featuring a 5.0-liter V8 engine, 420-horsepower and 390 pound-feet of torque. The winner of the auction will have their choice between a six-speed automatic or six-speed manual transmission and will be able to choose the colors of their new Mustang.
The all-new Mustang will have no reserve at the auction and the proceeds will benefit JDRF an organization that researches Type 1 Diabetes. “Ford’s charitable vehicle sales at Barrett-Jackson have raised more than $3 million for JDRF through the years, and these funds are helping us make tremendous progress towards therapies and treatments that will make life better for people with type 1 diabetes today as we work to find a cure for this terrible disease,” Jeffrey Brewer president and CEO of JDRF remarks.
The Mustang will be celebrating its 50th Anniversary for the 2015 model year with a new sleek exterior design and all of the best in technologies. Friendly Ford is proud to be part of a company that gives back to communities and charities.
