The all-new 2016 Escape will be equipped with the Ford SYNC 3 Connectivity System that will provide quicker performance, voice recognition, and a touchscreen that’s easier to use than ever before. The new technology will also debut on the Ford Fiesta.
SYNC 3 will also include AppLink, which provides control over smart phone apps, as well as enhanced 911 Assist, Wi-Fi software updates, and Siri Eyes-Free capability for iPhones.
Mark LaNeve, Ford Motor Company Vice President of US Marketing, Sales and Service, said, “SYNC always has been about providing a safer way for our customers to connect their smartphones in order to keep their eyes on the road and hands on the wheel.”
Ford introduced SYNC to its lineup first in 2007 and continues to update it with the latest technology to provide the best in-car connectivity available. If you’re interested in learning more about Ford’s all-new SYNC 3 technology, visit us at Friendly Ford.
Ford recently set a new world record for the largest Hot Wheels track loop, a feat accomplished to celebrate Take Your Child to Work Day. The Ford Hot Wheel loop, created in the Ford Research and Innovation Center, topped out at over twelve feet tall. The previous record was only nine feet.
If you’re wondering why Ford would take the time to do this, we have two things to say to you. One, you need to be reminded just how much fun playing with Hot Wheels is! Two, Ford hopes the cool new car track loop will interest a new generation of kids in playing around with the fields of science and engineering. After all, in those fields, you get to make real cars that actually go on the world’s roads, not just on tracks.
Matt West, Ford dynamometer, explained how this record-setting plan came into action. “It started as part-fun, part-physics lesson with my son at home,” said West. “We built one in our playroom, and then built a five-foot- tall loop in our backyard. When people at Ford heard what we were up to, everyone thought it would be a great way to get young people excited about science and engineering by trying to break the world record on Take Your Child to Work Day.”

Every year, the editors at Kelley Blue Book’s prestigious KBB.com create a list of the most efficient vehicles available in the industry. The list reflects the ten standouts in the green car segment from a variety of price ranges and powertrains. With Ford’s innovative powertrain technologies, it comes as no surprise that KBB.com’s 10 Best Green Cars list recognized the popular Ford C-MAX hybrid lineup, showcasing the appeal of the eco-friendly hatchback.
The C-MAX hybrid lineup includes both the C-MAX Hybrid and C-MAX Energi, which are the vehicle’s plug-in hybrid variants. These two models use Ford’s innovative power-split technology to offer an electric mode that is faster than any other hybrid. Ford offers sporty styling, which highlights the C-MAX’s superior driving dynamics. The hatchback vehicle also offers a bigger battery, giving the C-MAX Energi an impressive, all-electric range of 21 miles.

When a single vehicle boasts at least 30 awards and accolades within one model year, it makes you sit up and take notice. Such is the story of the all-new 2015 Ford F-150. The truck’s 30th award is earned in collaboration with the F-250 and F-350 as Ford was named Best Overall Truck Brand in the Kelley Blue Book® 2015 Brand Image Awards.
2015 Ford F-Series Wins Best Overall Truck Brand in KBB’s 2015 Brand Image Awards
In order to determine the winners of the KBB Brand Image Award, data is taken from KBB’s Brand Watch Study, which is able to calculate opinions of new-car shoppers as they research for a new vehicle. Thirteen vehicles are named winners in seven categories based on their scores in twelve factors like exterior styling, affordability, fuel efficiency, prestige/sophistication, etc. The Best Overall Truck Brand award is the only category in which only one car is chosen as opposed to one mainstream model and one luxury.
This is Ford’s sixth time winning the award out of the seven times KBB has named a winner.
Here’s what the KBB experts had to say about Ford. “The Ford F-150 has been the best-selling vehicle in the country or more than 30 years, so the fact that KBB.com visitors would name it the Best Overall Truck Brand isn’t surprising. But Ford isn’t taking its fortunes for granted. The boldly recast 2015 Ford F-150 boasts aluminum-intensive architecture that saves as much as 700 pounds and delivers a subsequent increase in fuel economy.”
If you want more proof than the general consensus of 12,000-plus new-car shoppers, stop by Friendly Ford today to test drive Ford’s trucks for yourself.

Ford is completely redefining automotive design, launching a new campaign focusing on ergonomics, lightweight materials, and exceeding efficiency. In fact, many of Ford’s recent designs are set to showcase at the Salone del Mobile in Milan, Italy, the world capital of design.
The artfully-crafted 2015 Ford GT Concept
Although it sounds like something from a science-fiction movie, some Ford designers have taken to using eye tracking and biometric technologies to figure out the most important aspects of vehicle styling, said Ford. Using systems like this, new Ford models will feature precise detailing and state-of-the art fashion.
“Vehicle interiors have witnessed one of the biggest evolutions across the history of cars in recent years,” said Raj Nair, vice president of Global Product Development for Ford. “Not only have we introduced a great deal of useful new technology into our cars and trucks, we consistently are adding better materials, improved design and increased features across the board, from high-end vehicles to entry-level segments.”
Ford’s focus is on using ergonomic design, more lightweight materials, and on having incredible attention to detail. This means more comfortable interiors, more aluminum alloy and carbon fiber, and laser precision. The next-generation of Ford Automotive Design is bound to redefine the industry, but you can see the current generation at Friendly Ford.
Joey Logano was back to Victory Lane in his Mustang at Phoenix International Raceway, where he won his second career XFINITY series race.
We’d been waiting for a while at Friendly Ford to see the automaker score an XFINITY win again, and it was about time. Logano had finished second in his last four starts in the series, despite having started from pole in the last three.
This time, Logano took pole again but managed to make it stick during the race, even as runner-up Matt Kenseth fiercely contested his lead all day long. In the end, the No. 22 Discount Tire Ford Mustang led 176 of the 200 laps at the one-mile track. Not bad!
“It felt good,” said Logano, who collected his 22nd career win in Phoenix. “It took a long time to get our next win. We’ve been so close to winning—obviously, a lot of poles and things are going well. We just needed a little more speed, and it was awesome to get it today.”
The all-new 2015 Mustang EcoBoost is here and ready to take you by surprise. It’s not the thundering, heart-pounding V8 most people expect from America’s favorite sports car, but it delivers everything you’ll really ever need. Take a look at the following 2015 Ford Mustang EcoBoost review.
The Mustang EcoBoost is powered by a 2.3 liter turbocharged 4 cylinder engine that produces 310 horsepower and 320 pound-feet of torque, delivering the kind of power you’ll still find exhilarating. If its looks are what you’re focused on, then prepare to fall in love again and again. The EcoBoost is outfitted with dual exhausts, 18-inch wheels, HID headlamps, rear spoiler, leather-wrapped steering wheel and handsome lines that really draw the eye in.
The best feature of the Mustang EcoBoost might just be its handling. It’s quick, sharp maneuverability will have you hugging every curve the back roads have to offer. The EcoBoost is 200 pounds lighter than the 5.0-liter version allowing for an even smoother drive.
Fast, fun, and fearless, the 2015 Ford Mustang EcoBoost looks and drives like a dream! To check out the new Mustang lineup, visit us at Friendly Ford.
Ford finally revealed its long-awaited 2016 Ford RS model last week, a top-of-the-line hatchback that’s getting rave reviews—especially from those who are happy to see such a stellar model released in the United States.
The 2016 Focus RS gets 320 horsepower and has all-wheel drive, making it the kind of powerfully modern compact car you’d expect from Ford in 2016, using the same 2.3-liter EcoBoost, four-cylinder engine found in the mid-level Mustang.
According to various Ford execs, the new performance car RS is just the beginning for a new wave of high-performances at Ford, and since this is the first RS designed for international sale, expect to see a stellar year for Ford.
The 2016 Ford RS reveal comes months ahead of its official release, which is planned for later in the year. Are you looking forward to this new arrival like we at Friendly Ford are? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.
The new Ford GT Supercar debuted at the 2015 Detroit Auto Show and fast is indeed the keyword! With a streamlined structure, and sexy, sleek curves, Ford’s new baby is designed for speed! However, it’s hard to say which is more impressive: its function or beauty.
To a casual observer of the GT in motion, the 2015 Supercar is sure to appear as nothing but a blur. Due in part to the aerodynamic design, but also adding to the power is the 3.5-liter twin turbocharged EcoBoost V6 engine. A carbon-fiber driver’s cell and aluminum-alloy sub frames decrease the car’s overall bulk, thus enabling an increased pace.
With the newest addition to its performance lineup, Ford continues its tradition of GT panache. Swing-up clamshell doors give two passengers an extravagant entrance into the smooth and simple interior, each line and angle of the body calculated to reduce drag.
Designed as an homage to the original Ford GT built in 1966 (the original being commissioned by Henry Ford II to win the Le Mans 24-hour race in France), the Ford GT is set to be released next year in celebration of the original’s 50th anniversary.
