Ford is introducing the future of mini-vans with the new seven-passenger Transit Connect Wagon. This new people-mover is expected to reach up to more than 30 miles per gallon highway, which is 5 mpg better than its stiffest competition and 2 mpg better in city driving.
The Transit Connect Wagon offers three different series models, those being the XL, XLT and Titanium. You also have the choice between two different four-cylinder engines and two different wheelbase lengths.
“Transit Connect Wagon gives young families and people on the go the fun-to-drive and efficient vehicle they’ve been looking for,” says Ford’s President of The Americas, Mark Fields. “It’s an all-new, smaller seven-seater that has better mileage than larger vans and creates a segment of its own. Customers also will love the unique combination of style, adaptability and affordability this wagon brings.”
Among many of the convenient features, this vehicle offers fold-flat second and third-row seating, sliding side doors, and a 1200 lb payload. It can even haul up to 2,000 lbs when equipped properly.
Some of the other features include a rear view camera, a full-glass panoramic roof, a touch screen display along with SYNC and MyFord Touch technology included.
The Transit Connect is already a fan favorite and expectations are that the Transit Connect Wagon will follow suit. With a sleeker and more stylish look than you’re accustomed to seeing, this isn’t your father’s mini-van.
