The 2015 Ford F-150 offers drivers a lighter, more refined body because it uses aluminum instead of the standard metals used before. The use of aluminum has saved the F-150 700 pounds and has thus increased efficiency and increased dent resistance.
Although the efficiencies and dent resistance will add value to the truck, consumers and dealerships are worried about the costs associated with fixing a largely aluminum truck. Ford says not to worry! They recently announced that they will be paying 20% of what shops will spend on training and gear to fix the 2015 F-150.
Ford is hoping to move more of their vehicles toward the use of aluminum for added efficiencies. Their investment in repairs definitely shows how serious they are about moving in said direction. The F-150 continues to be Ford’s best-selling vehicle and Ford has made a commitment to continue that tradition with its all new F-150.
Ford dealers will be ready to help you with any repairs as soon as the trucks start being delivered during the second half of the year! If you are in need of any service or repairs, feel free to give Friendly Ford’s service department a call at: 866-928-7905.
